September 2008, Tahiti

This last Sunday, we went on a beach to clean it and we have collected litters and waste, most of them brought by the sea. This beach is exposed to the wind and the stream ; it means that sea tranports a lot of waste on a very long distance, toxin for animals, in particular turtles.

Sangha in Germany - Live to Love am 21. September

With deeply felt gratitude for our precious Guru,
for this fulfilling method;
with love and respect
for Buddha, Dharma and Sangha
here the report of our September activity:

Precious Sangha…
Coming together to practice together was in a much deeper sense a special experience on this Sunday.
In a very loving and fine way came to show a little bit more the essential meaning of the possibilities to grow into a bigger form of love & compassion.

On Friday we received a large package with fine clothing from Peldrön and Senge from the Black Forest.
Through this both of them were energetically absolutely present and out of the rather “small family like” Drukpa Hamburg grew the presence for our whole Drukpa Germany community.
A very nourishing & supporting feeling of connection was the result.
Thank you Peldrön & Senge! Your clothes have made a lot of homeless people happy here in Hamburg.

LIVE TO LOVE – Drukpa Penang 21 Sep 2008 Visiting Two Needy Families

This month we visited two families with different needs.

The first family is about a woman in her seventies who had the lower part of her right leg amputated in 1998 due to cancerous growth, and the upper part of her leg suffered the same fate in 2007 when the cancer cell spread. She is wheel chair bound and needs constant care by her daughter. As such the daughter could not get a full time job and is only doing some casual jobs at her home to help with their daily needs.

Green Lungs - Mexico

With almost a 25 million people population, Mexico City and its metro area —where we live—is a very extended territory surrounded by mountains. So it is essential to have, create and maintain “green lungs” to generate not only oxygen but shade and a home to birds. These “green lungs” are needed to maintain the conservation land as well as the city´s hydric resources.

A group a Live to Love —mostly youngsters— met at the Bosque de Aragón (Aragón Forest) to plant trees. This forest is located within a highly populated area, therefore it is vital to have it reforestated and alive.

Live to Love, Drukpa Paris September 1st

Article awaiting translation into english - check back soon.

Live to love Genève

We met together on the last sunday of this month at the old people home where we once had been to in spring. We went for a walk on the lake side with a few old people in roll chairs. It was verry hot and we took good care of making them wear hats and ombrellas so that our friend, despide of the heat, could really enjoy this change… We then had I break in a nice Café to enjoy a drink. It was a real pleasure to see how some of their faces, at first little closed, went open as the day was passing by, and then even smiled in front of the beautifull view. We had to promise an old man that we would come back to play cards some day, and even if he had some difficulties to breaze his ” thousand thanks” goodbye were a real gift! We hope to go there more often, those moments really are rich in sens and emotions.
Thank you Live to Love.

Live To Love Drukpa Plouray - 24th August 2008

This month the activity of Drukpa Plouray had to be postponed of one week. This time, we went to the coast for an environmental activity. As the summer was coming to its end, we thought it was a good idea to go on the beachs and collect the litter.

We were not many people but still we were able to collect a lot of litter (7 full bags). As usual, we were very motivated and happy to meet for our activity. We were amused as, once again, it was raining when we started the activity and progressively the sun appeared and we finally had a very beautiful afternoon.
