Sunday, September 20 was one of those hot summer days here in Hong Kong. For the second time since our last visit on June 28, the team of ‘Live to Love’ volunteers paid a second visit to the Society for Abandoned Animals (SAA) – a place filled with love and compassion for the abandoned animals! Gone are the days of being homeless for these poor and lovely animals. Staying at SAA may not be as warm and cozy like those who are with loving and doting owners, however, SAA’s staff and visiting volunteers are trying their best to provide them with the necessary shelter and utmost care and attention. “Today, Sunday i read His Holiness’s blog and realized that, even though it is my birthday i should do something for others, rather than enjoy myself. I rushed to the shop and called some friends to help me distribute the food i was about to cook. London is an interesting city as it is not easy finding the homeless, because our social care has improved greatly. It seems that from 5 pm they appear on the streets, as they are unable to get into a shelter for the night. It turned out to be the best moment to find them as they were claiming their place on the pavement for the night. Nearly all of them were desperate for food and drink, none of them were drunk and it really brought it home to me that the people in my hometown are in great need. I pray that I will continue to feed the hungry and those who are in need of love and care”. J. Pema Chutsoe

I would like to write few word about my sister kindness, without Basia generosity and kindness we wouldn’t have a place (Polish sangha) to meet for practice, our group for last nearly five years meets in her place, even is just a small flat with only two rooms, she happily allow as to meet there for practice. We storage plenty our staff there and our thankas hang on the walls. She is one of the group by now, but to begin with she just sympathize with what we do and unconditionally help as. As well, every time I come to Poland (live permanently out of Poland) to help with a center, visits etc, she offers me her bedroom, which becomes an office, sometimes for more than 2,3 month. She is also participating in Live 2 Love organized activity for last year or more, going two times a week to hospital- chemotherapy department to be a help as much as possible to sic and fragile people. Thanks Basia.
