On April 19, DAKINI DAY, over two thousand lives were released to the sea with our prayers. We dedicated the merit of this liberation to the longevity of His Holiness and all enlightened masters so that many more sentient beings may benefit from their blessings and selfless love.

With the economic downturn, more and more people are looking to Food Bank to help them through the day. Hong Kong sanghas gathered money amongst themselves on April 19 and bought food supplies for delivery to the Food Bank. We are just thankful that we are still in a position to be able to contribute and provide relief to those who are in need, and more appreciative of His Holiness’ urge to us to help others…

This morning, we released over 1000 lives in the waters off the east coast of Singapore. We dedicate the merit of this liberation for His Holiness the 12th Gyalwang Drupka’s long life and good health so that many more sentient beings may benefit from his teachings.
This life release was organized last minute. We only decided after my return from the first ADC in Kathmandu a couple of days ago. I was prepared to do this alone, but my wife’s (J. Dedron) family members kindly came in to help. We released over 800 shell-fish (called “tua tao” in local dialect) in shallow waters with sand before proceeding to the open waters for the release fishes that we had bought from the fish “holding farms”. I call it holding because the fishes are mostly breed in Malaysian waters but kept alive in these farms for sale.

Even though some of the Drukpa Dharmashri Members are busy with their routine work after being attended the First Annual Drukpa Council ,at Druk Amitabha Mountain, Nepal and returned home recently , still able to make their presence to participate in this month Live to Love Activities in the tree planting at SJK © Chong Kuang ,Sungai Bakap, south of Province Wellesley. The School Headmaster Mr. Yew also took part in the tree planting activities.

Visit Oi Wah Home
In the afternoon of March 15, 20 Drukpa Hong Kong sanghas re-visited Oi Wah Home of Fu Hong Society, the second time in 2 months, at the invitation of Fu Hong Society. Our aim was to provide entertainment to the service users at Oi Wah Home, whose mental health or physical health is moderately or severely challenged. As soon as we arrived, the services users recognized us, and likewise for us. This quick rapport was evident throughout our performances.

我们探访了一位中学刚毕业的学生,目前正寻求帮助以便能继续深造。陈珍妮,今年十八岁,已经完成大马教育文凭考试(等同”O”水平考试),在十科科目当中,她成功考获八科A的优异成绩。因此她申请到本地拉曼学院的奖学金,津贴她两年百分之七十五选读会计文凭的学费,过后她可以选择继续就读高级文凭和ACCA/ICSA/CAT课程(专业资格)或者用转移学分方式进入拉曼大学以获取学士学位。对于高级文凭课程的津贴则视学生的成绩而论定。
