Thanks to Benny, whom we got to know from the last fish liberation, we managed to organize a fish liberation which we dedicate to His Holiness the 12th Gyalwang Drukpa’s long life. We chose this month because it is just ahead of Holiness’s birthday in early March.

Today it was ice-cold in Hamburg. We started in the station to find out at which places we would meet the homeless friends.
It has made us very happy, that Reino and Akim, the beautiful Dalmatian were with us.
The group of dogs gets ever larger. When all dogs are present they are thirteen. Whether in the shrine room or on the streets of Hamburg we are one team & while we do what can be done, we enjoy the community, which under the shield of Live to Love is standing under a clearly noticeable blessing.
Like in February last year today we met many people from Romania. With all the hardship most of them radiate a very moving grace and beauty. They teach us a certain quality of agreeing with their karma, which lingers in our hearts like an echo and affects us.

Spreading the good news, London.
Today was an unusual Live to Love day; a few of us met at Di cook’s house this morning with the intention of helping the Drukpa Lineage by stuffing envelopes with the leaflets and letter for the ADC, to spread the good news and give people the opportunity to join the ADC or at least to know about it. We sat on the floor and all day long, we folded letters, put labels, stick stamps on, while enjoying each others company very much, sometimes giggling and laughing, sometimes sharing creative thoughts and ideas on how to sponsor the forthcoming walking pilgrimage, we also organised our share of admin work for Jetsunma Tenzin Palmo’s future visit in UK.
I remember this feeling of joy, each time a brochure was put in an envelope, thinking that one more person would be aware of the ADC and may possibly join us for this wonderful special event. We made 1000 envelopes, all done in a very positive, warm, loving atmosphere.

On first Sunday of L2L this year (18 January) we went to night shelters for man and women. Everyone of us prepared some clothes, medicines, sanitary articles or food for children. As always our friends and families supported our charity collection. Two of our friends came by small car full of bags containing various clothes that they got from their acquaintances.
Firstly we came to man shelter(the same place we were in December). During winter time over 200 people find shelter in this place while most of the year 100 people sleeps there. House manager appreciate it as to come and show as around, he told as how compleks the issue of homelessness is.

Druk Foundation Ltd visited the Pine Care (Manning) Elderly Centre on January 18, 2009 (Sunday) to celebrate the Chinese Lunar New Year with the elderlies. Hong Kong sanghas brought joy to the elders as they presented kung fu, played games and sang songs with them. In addition, they also advanced the Chinese tranditional ‘bai nin’ (‘拜年’) (well wishes for the new year) to the elders by presentating each with a gift bag.
