Spontaneous Live to Love in Provence , April 2008

For the last few ‘Live to Love’ days, Jigme Norbu Dawa and I were involved with the beloved UK Sangha, but this time I was back in France. I looked around in the surroundings of my village to see what people need, what sort of suffering is going on here. As Jigme Päldrön from Germany said, it is not that easy to help in the West, it takes time to organise. I saw a few homeless people in the nearest town, Apt, so on the 3rd Sunday, after completing a translation for the UK Sangha, I went down town under a pouring rain with a bag of clothes and a few Euros. I walked around in many streets, looked under the arches of shops etc..nobody! On one hand I felt relieved for them, assuming that they must have shelter somewhere, but felt a bit hopeless in terms of helping! So I continued my practices and prayed that we could all help beings more and more and that Live to love activities would expand beautifully.

Live to Love from Black Forest, 20.april 2008

We were allowed to help, finally!!

After having headache for weeks what to do on third Sunday in April any many phone-calls we made the experience, that helping in Germany is not an easy thing: the homeless in the next bigger city are supported by the church for the whole april and in our little town there seems to be no homeless. In the old-people-home sunday is not a good day to entertain them and we gave up our idea to release trouts ( a kind of fish) from a breeding-station into the river nextby at the evening before, because there were many misgiving about the fishes getting a shock in the river and finally the information that they themselves eat up a lot of little animals in the river so that they will probably die with a worse karma then they had before.

Live to Love in a small rural school

In this opportunity, we had our Live to Love activity outside of our city. The small community we visited is name Soccma and is located in the Sacred Valley about 3000 mt over sea level( aprox. 10000 feet).

We first visited this community some weeks ago. We could see that the school has approximate 40 kids between 4 and 12 years. We were moved because the poor conditions we saw there. The school is located in an isolated area (Cars are able to get there just twice a week). For instance they lack of many recourses and support from the government. The school just has two rooms and two teachers. The only way that the teachers find to get into the school it is walking from home. The kids attending to the school live in neighboor areas and walk between 30 to 60 min to get in school every day.

Rescued Cat on La Palma died

Last saturday, when we stopped on the road on La Palma mountains to pick lettuce and herbs for the horse, there was a small cat sitting at the roadside in miserable state, nearly starved, only one eye left. But when we approached her, she ran away frightened and we did not have the time to search her and ask the neighbours around there, as we had an appointment with clients. But we kept thinking of her and had the feeling, that she actually was asking us for help. So the next day, on the 3rd sunday morning, we went up again to look for her with food, vitamins, medicine… But she was not there any more.

Live to Love - Drukpa Plouray 20th April 2008

Dear friends,
the 1st LIVE TO LOVE activity of Drukpa Plouray happened on 20th April 2008 morning. A few people met at the Centre and joined the rest of the group in Lorient. We went to the market, spent quite some time there to choose the suitable species who would be able to survive in our region. We bought around a dozen of spider crabs and a lot of winkles (about 10 kilos). Then we drove to the seaside and put them back into the sea. We put some mendrup on the animals and recited Chenrezi mantra as advised by Drupbön Nawang.

Live to Love & the Medicine of Beech

This weekend we have given a regular study group, in the subjects of classical homeopathy and alchemy of plants.

Because this work was also on Sunday we have motivated and concentrated us as a group and our studies totally into a Live to Love activity.

Since many years the trees are the main theme of both topics of study. Before we have analysed oak, juniper, ginkgo, spruce etc. and tested as a remedy. The goal of these studies is to transfer theoretical knowledge into a lively & practical experience.
