We happened to be in Chiang-mai, Thailand on the 3rd Sunday of March. The hotel where we stayed was at the bank of a river. We noticed that every morning at 7.30am, a monk from a nearby temple named Wat Chediliam, will come by a small boat and stop by the hotel whereby the representative of the hotel will offer dana to him.
On the Sunday morning, we took the opportunity to participate in this activity by offering some food, drinks and monies to the monk. Also we get our friends who were with us to join in the activities which all of us find it meaningful. The monk was so kind as he gave all of us blessings before leaving. This activity was really not planned for, but we were so grateful that the opportunity arose.
