Giving a warm hand on a Cold Night in Cusco

Drukpa Cusco on a cold night

Peru is considered a developing country. Even though there are many developed areas, some isolated places lack food, health and basic services. Currently in our city we can see people sleeping on the streets. Woman and kids spend overnight selling candy with a very little money to invest in their products. The nights at Cusco are cold very often reaching temperatures below zero. This is the reason that we decided to bring some hot drinks, snacks and warm cloths for those people.

We were walking for about 3 hours. We went to places where people sleep and sell their products. It was very cold night and the warm chocolate made them happy. We were aware that our action won’t resolve the problems they have. But at least for some minutes they could feel a warm hand offering some food and support.
