Since my wife Paldron ha a serious influence since 2 weeks, our daughter is enjoying Easter holidays with her grandmom and the next Dharma-friends are hours away I had to do my monthly Life to Love Sunday on my own. I went out to clean the environment as this was one of the suggestions of H. H. Gyalwang Drukpa and it is something we can do always and on the spot.
Just a few hundreds of meters from our house there is a bus stop in the forest where I thought I might be successful. And indeed it took just seconds to dive into a world of garbage of all sorts. Even though we have a very efficient garbage and recycling system here, people gave me enough to do - so I was thinking when walking around the woods maybe I should be grateful that people do so so I did not had to walk long distances - maybe it is the same about any Bodhisattva’s activity: it is always just waiting at our doorstep or even within our very house or flat.
Whether garbage is just annoying to our eyes is one thing, the other more shocking thing to me was that I found plenty of pieces of broken glass which are a threat to our wild animals like deers, foxes, rabbits and the like which fortunately we are having plenty around here. Just after a short while a got pretty experienced in perceiving glass splinters from afar and I was amazed how flexible and willing to learn my mind is in that respect. This gave me an encouragement to believe in my mind’s general possibility to learn and change.
Lastly while wandering through the forest I remembered Thukse Rinpoche’s remark when he was visiting us that the powerful Nagas that life in the ground and all other elements do not like that their places are being polluted and they harm beings with sicknesses who do so. So hopefully the Nagas are happy with the cleaning job and release the suffering from beings.
I think doing this kind of Life to love activity is easy to do, always at hand and good for our health - exercise and fresh air, so no great deal to do so. And as a bonus I will be furthermore rewarded by German beer brewery: I found one bottle which will give me a deposit. Far out!

P.S. Paldron is using her little energy she got to translate all the Life to Love activities into German so people can enjoy reading it in their mother language so I think her share is also covered by this Life to Love idea.
