Live to Love

As part of our promise earlier ,we continued to carry out the trees planting project since January 2008 till to date. This time, we had extended our trees planting activities beyond the Drukpa Butterworth Centre , about few kilometres away , at Lay Keow Primary School in a small town known as Permatang Pauh , with the concensus of the School’s Headmaster Ms. Chan. The school had renovated quite recently and it is timely that Drukpa Butterworth came to provide the free services on the trees planting project.

We all got ready and commenced our job at 8.00 am sharp . Normally ,as per our previous experieces in trees planting near Drukpa Centre just took about three hours to complete it , however ,we faced minor obstacles this time as we need extra efforts in excavating out the pebbles and stones beneath the soil as you can see from the attached photos, overall took about five and the half hours job to complete the first phase project. Even though some of the members had blisters on the finger/palm and little wound on the skin during the hard job in digging out the pebbles and stones , we still managed to complete planting twelve Blue Pine trees just after lunch time and called for a day. Anyway, all of us felt very happy and enjoyable throughout the activities.

Through this activities, we wish that some of the Drukpa Dhamashri Butterworth members’ children who studies there shall get benefits in the near future.

Now is the school vacation, that is why you cannot see school students around. The school shall arrange some students in the next month activities so as to support the environment protection and in line with Live to Love. We shall update more informations next month.
